About This Event:

We invite you to join us to be angry.

Wrath, if we allow it, can be our savior. It can also debilitate us as it remains trapped in our bodies--it is said that anger turned inward is another way to describe depression. Though it is one of the primary human emotions, many of us are taught to ignore it. Or for some of us, if we embody it, we are punished or rejected. Anger is threatening to those invested in keeping peace and harmony. It has the energy to disrupt the status quo, at systems- and interpersonal-levels. Contained anger is a powerful vehicle for change and action.

Maybe you’ve never gotten to know your anger, or maybe you feel ruled by it. Wherever you are on the wrath-spectrum, we invite you to a Spoke Circle experience that will allow you to come in contact with your anger, choose to release it, and figure out what direction it wants to take you in. 

• We will gather at The Rage Cage in Brooklyn, where we will make room for your anger. You will have the opportunity to make a Wrath Playlist, smash plates, break mechanical equipment, and make noises safely.

• We will then visit a nearby private space, where we will share about our experiences, and trace our relationship to anger back in time, in order to learn how to be with it and express it in contained and life-changing ways. 

Need to know

• We recommend eating dinner before the event. Snacks and seltzer will be provided during circle time.

  Suits and masks will be provided at The Rage Cage to put over your clothing, wearing sneakers/flats is recommended.
